Hi, I’m Mike King, the owner and operations manager here at King Hardwood Floors LLC. My journey into the world of hardwood flooring began in the early 1990s when I started working for Martin’s Custom Flooring in the Santa Barbara/Ventura area. It was during this time that I had the privilege of working on large, custom homes where I learned the importance of quality craftsmanship and attention to detail.In 1993, after the birth of our first child, my wife and I decided to relocate to Northern California, where I continued working in the flooring industry for several different companies. In 1999, we moved to Idaho shortly after the birth of our third child. It was here in Idaho that I established King Hardwood Floors, a company driven by the desire to provide high-quality flooring services to homeowners in the Treasure Valley and surrounding areas.In 2004, a family friend recognized the potential for growth in my work and customer service approach. Together, we started a new flooring company under a different name, and we successfully ran it until 2011. After that, my family and I temporarily moved back to California, where I continued working in the flooring industry before returning to Idaho in 2016.Since my return, I’ve had the pleasure of reconnecting with many former clients and collaborating with larger flooring companies as a subcontractor for various projects across the Treasure Valley. I’m proud to have been a part of so many homes and look forward to many more projects to come.The joy I find in meeting new customers, helping them realize their flooring vision, and seeing the satisfaction on their faces when the job is done is what drives me every day. I truly understand the lasting impact of quality flooring, as these floors are what you and your family will live with for years to come.

Roanne King: The Administrative Heart of King Hardwood Floors

Hello, I’m Roanne King, and while you may not always see me on the job site, I’m deeply involved in the day-to-day operations of King Hardwood Floors LLC. As Mike’s wife and business partner, I’ve been fortunate to witness his growth and evolution in the hardwood flooring industry over the years.We’ve been married for nearly 25 years, and I’ve had the privilege of supporting Mike in his business ventures since the early days. While Mike focuses on the technical aspects of flooring, I handle the administrative and operational side of things, ensuring that the business runs smoothly from behind the scenes.I’ve spent over ten years working in web-content editing, and I hold a BS in Organizational Communications and an AA in Interdisciplinary Studies. These skills have been invaluable in helping us create a professional online presence and manage the various aspects of the business, including bookkeeping, payroll, and accounting.In the past, we had a business partner who managed the accounting side of things, but now I handle the books, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other administrative functions. I’m proud to say that I am able to support Mike’s passion for craftsmanship by ensuring that everything behind the scenes is organized, efficient, and aligned with our business goals.While our online presence has only been growing recently, our reputation in the Treasure Valley is well-established. Over the years, we’ve built strong relationships with our clients, and we’re excited to see our business continue to grow and thrive in the future.
